The First Drone That Supports QC2.0 Fast Charging Is Here, Which Is Cheaper Than XiaoMi 5
On May 25th, the 2016 China Big Data Industry Summit and China E-commerce Innovation Development Summit (Digital Expo) hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Guizhou Provincial Government was held in Guiyang. The domestic drone manufacturer ZEROTECH released a Mini foldable selfie drone-Dobby.
The folded size of Dobby is only 135*65*34mm, and it can be carried in a pocket. The weight of the whole machine with battery is only 199g. Using Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM/8GB ROM, with a 13 million pixel camera, 4K image capture, supporting APP with a beauty camera mode. The control distance is 100m, the battery life is 9 minutes, the battery capacity is 970mAh (7.6V, 7.37Wh), and it supports QC2.0 fast charge.
Dobby’s price is only 1899 yuan, which is cheaper than the Mi 5 mobile phone. In 2015, the founder of Zero Degree Intelligent Control once said that small aerial photography drones will be made into home “air DV”. With the support of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Flight platform, Dobby has fully tapped the potential of drone photography. At this stage, a major problem that plagues drones is battery life. Therefore, rapid battery replacement and fast charging technology are also concerns of major drone manufacturers. Dobby’s battery charging base uses Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 fast charging technology, input 5V2A/9V1.5A (15W Max).
It is worth mentioning that the Dobby battery charging base uses the increasingly popular Type-C interface, which supports positive and negative insertion, which is also a small highlight. However, the interface for data transmission on the fuselage is MircoUSB, so in addition to the standard Type-C data cable, a Type-C to MicroUSB adapter is also included.
