Ismartware SW2303 Obtains QC4+Certification
Recently, the charging head network learned that the fast charging protocol chip SW2303 developed by Ismartware, a well-known fast charging chip manufacturer in the industry, has officially obtained Qualcomm QC4+ certification, and has become one of the few QC4+ fast charging certified chips in the industry.
According to the certificate, Ismartware USB Type-C fast charging chip SW2303 officially obtained QC4+ certification on December 17, 2020. The certificate number is QC20201216209.
Ismartware SW2303 is packed with QFN-14 4*4mm. It is a highly integrated USB Type-C/Type-A interface fast charging protocol chip developed by Ismartware. It supports mainstream fast charging protocols such as PD, QC, FCP, high voltage SCP, low voltage SCP, AFC, SFCP and PE, and supports two working modes, which are optocoupler feedback and FB feedback. It also supports 4KV ESD HBM. SW2303 integrates CV/CC control loop, Type-C interface logic, fast charging protocol controller, and various safety protection functions. With AC-DC or DC-DC and some peripheral components, a complete and high-performance Type-C/Type-A fast charging solution can be formed.
Ismartware SW2303 supports a input voltage range, which is from 3V to 25V. It supports a comprehensive fast charging protocol, and there is a perfect protection function in it. Type-C interface supports Vconn and Emarker functions. The withstand voltages of CC pin and DPDM pin are higher than 25V. Ismartware SW2303 supports soft start, output overvoltage protection, output undervoltage protection, input undercurrent protection, output overcurrent protection, chip over-temperature protection and NTC overheat protection. Ismartware SW2303 supports NMOS/PMOS power switches. A discharge function is integrated in it. It supports I2C interface. The power and voltage gears can be configured flexibly, and it supports dynamic power distribution.
When a 65W single-port gallium nitride fast charging scheme that is equipped with Ismartware SW2303 fast charging protocol chip is connected to the power supply for testing. The ChargerLAB POWE-Z KT002 shows that the scheme supports QC4+ fast charging protocol, and is also compatible with many protocols such as Apple2.4A, Samsung5V/2A, QC3.0, QC2.0, DCP, AFC, FCP, SCP, MTK PE, and PD3.0 PPS.
PDO messages show that it supports two sets of PPS output: 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/3.25A and 3.3-11V/5A, 3.3-21V/3A.
