Huawei 135W Charger Passes 3C Certification. It Likely Uses a New Generation of Fast Charging System
Recently, a Huawei charger is added in 3C database of MIIT. From the parameters, it can be seen that the output power reaches 135W, which causes various discussions in the industry. It is also speculated that Huawei may use a new generation of fast charging system and introduce multi-cell charge pump fast charging technology.
The certificate number of Huawei 135W charger is 2020010907359172. The manufacturer is Dongguan AoHai Technology Co., Ltd.. The issuing date is 2020-12-30. It can be seen from the power that this charger has an output power of 135W.
It can be seen from the main information that the model of Huawei 135W charger is HW-200675CP0. It supports a global power grid of 100-240V 50/60Hz 2.5A. In terms of output, it has six fixed voltage PDO, namely 5V3A, 9V3A, 12V5A, 15V5A, 20V4.7A and 20V6.75A. It completely covers the common voltage segments of digital products. 5V and 9V are used for phones. 12V and 15V are used for tablet computers. 20V is used for laptops.
Huawei, as one of the earliest mobile phone brands promoting fast chargers, has developed its fast charging technology steadily. Except for foldable screen XS series, conventional flagship mobile phones use 22.5W SCP low-voltage direct charging scheme. Then Mate20 Pro is equipped with a 40W super charger. Next Mate40 Pro is equipped with a 66W super charger. They all adopts a single-cell and single-stage charge pump fast charging scheme.
Mate20 Pro is equipped with a 40W super charger. The pin of the charger is not foldable. The model is HW-100400C01. It supports a global power grid of 100-240V 50/60Hz 1.2A. It has three voltage output gears, namely 5V2A, 9V2A and 10V4A.
From POWER-Z FL001S screen, it can be seen that the actual power of mate20 Pro is 9.58V 3.86A, 37.06W.
Mate40 Pro is equipped with a 66W charger. The pin is not foldable. The model of the charger is HW-110600C00. It supports 100~240V 50/60Hz 1.8A input ,and supports three fixed voltage gears, namely 5V2A, 10V4A and 11V 6A.
When the original 66W charger and the original data cable are used to charge Huawei Mate40 Pro, the power is 9.99V 6.00A 60.00W, and it is in a fast charging state of 11V 6A.
At present, fast charging power of flagship mobile phones in the industry has exceeded the limitation of 100W. That Huawei 135W charger passes 3C certification causes various speculations. Huawei 135W charger has a complete PDO voltage. It can be used for both mobile phones and laptops. At present, it is unknown what products Huawei 135W charger are used for. If it is used for mobile phones, Huawei will use double-string cell charge pump fast charging scheme, even mobile phones will be equipped with multi-level and high-voltage wireless fast charging technology. If it is used for laptops, it is available for other digital products and has good compatibility by virtue of the complete PDO voltage.
