At this exhibition, Ismartware released a reference design of a multi-port fast charging charger with a power of up to 200W, equipped with 4 USB-C ports and 2 USB-A ports, becoming the industry’s first ultra-high-power nitrogen Gallium sulfide fast charging solution. This has also become a highlight of the exhibition, attracting many engineers to stop and communicate.
Ismartware 200W 4C2A GaN fast charging reference design is packaged in a transparent acrylic case as a whole, and the internal input terminal integrates a PFC power factor correction circuit, and adopts a switching power supply and secondary step-down output architecture.
Through the acrylic shell, it can be seen that the switching power supply part of the entire reference design uses a full set of ON Semiconductor controllers, and uses four GaNFsast power chips of nano-micro semiconductors on the primary side; at the same time, in order to meet the needs of high power output, the secondary side Two synchronous rectification currents are set.
The secondary step-down part of this 200W 4C2A reference design takes full advantage of Ismartware’s technical accumulation in the development of multi-port GaN fast charging products. The 6 interfaces are divided into five independent step-down circuits, of which four are step-down circuits. All are implemented by a Ismartware SW3516 to complete the synchronous rectification step-down conversion and protocol identification functions, support USB PD3.0 PPS, Apple 2.4A, Samsung 5V/2A, DCP, QC4+, AFC, FCP, SCP and other mainstream fast charging protocols; in the middle The USB-C interface uses Ismartware’s latest SW3526 chip and is also compatible with Huawei’s 40W super fast charging protocol, which is widely used.
According to reports, the six output interfaces of this reference design are all coordinated and controlled by an external MCU. The maximum output power of the USB-C port is 100W, and the maximum output power of the USB-C interface is 30W, and it can support two USB- The C interface also has a 100W fast charge output. It is worth mentioning that in the actual development of the product, the output strategy of each interface can be customized according to the needs of customers, which is very flexible.
