OPPO Mini charger provides 50W full power through OPPO’s first SuperVOOC fast charge protocol or USB-C programmable power supply (PPS) specification. The high speed performance of GaN fast power IC of 50W Mini charger opens the door to a new circuit topology – “pulse type” flyback active clamp (ACF). It can withstand a wide input voltage range while maintaining a stable output to charge the mobile phone battery. The designer can remove 40% of the total volume of the electrical “large capacity capacitor” from the system. In addition, the operation speed is 16 times faster than that of the traditional charger, which means that the 50 kHz “wound” traditional transformer with a height of more than 20 mm can be replaced by a new planar transformer with a high speed of 800 kHz and 8 mm, which is extremely small in size and light in weight.
The new topology also allows oppo’s unique “direct charging” mode to reduce the wear mechanism and extend the life of mobile phone batteries.
